Summer By The Sea
SITU Summer Event
July 11, 2010

Summer is for relaxing, enjoying the great outdoors, and getting together with friends to eat alfresco!  Join Somewhere in Time, Unlimited by coming to our FREE picnic.

We'll dress in 1880's to 1910 (late Victorian to early Edwardian) attire.  This means white or striped shirts for men, lightweight pants, suspenders, "boater" hats.  Ladies might choose bustles, walking skirts, tall collared blouses, lacey weaves and of course, a lovely summery hat!  If you have "swimming attire" that is fine too.

The event will be held at the Edmonds City Park (3rd & Pine) beginning at noon.  Bring your picnic basket for you and your family.  At 3pm, there'll be a live stage entertainment presentation, so bring a folding chair for comfort!

Stage Door Canteen

September 18, 2010

Join Somewhere in Time as they celebrate the classic music and patriotic spirit of the stage door canteens of World War  II.  From Hollywood to Broadway, the stars of the 1940’s volunteered at these clubs to entertain the servicemen on leave.

We’ll have the big band sounds of Men in Black and snacks and beverages just like Bette Davis and Ginger Rogers served. The dancing will be fox trot to Lindy Hop.

The big hall will be decorated to take you back in time. Put on your 1940’s garb and come cut a rug with your jitterbug.
