Victorian Ball - Victorian Society of America |
“Victoria’s Septet”, another fine musical combo by Maestro Phil
Wilkinson will provide the music for this event. You’d have time to
do Bootleggers’ Run and still make it over to Pt. Angeles to dress
in Victorian/Edwardian attire, eat dinner and then dance your shoes
off! This is sure to be a lovely event by our friends in Pt.
Townsend. Christien Burnett & her mom Darla are organizing it all
this year. See attached PDF for full details, or visit our website
(www.CostumingInSeattle.com) if you have trouble viewing the PDF.

Last year, members of SITU
dressed in vintage turn of the century attire and strolled this
prestigious car show. We were on hand for anyone who wanted
our photo with them in front of a host of different luxury and
sports cars. Early examples, as well as contemporary electric
vehicles were on display. If you are a vintage car buff, this
is a show you do NOT want to miss!
Be prepared to come early to find parking. Attendance last year was triple what was expected and parking was quite a challenge. If you plan to dress in vintage influenced attire for this Dress-up Opportunity, you'll want to coordinate with: SirHarry "at" SITUSeattle.com or LadyVictoria, same addy.... take folks over the mountains. This year, does anyone have
interest in caravanning in cars? Interested in buying $150
tickets thru Alki Tours for the Snow Train? Does ANYONE want
to go at all? We'll wear our MOST warm Winter Woolies, complete with fur if you have it. Polar fleece materials just don't stand up to the crushingly cold weather of the mountains. Be SURE to wear double socks and heavy boots! Last year, the temps were in the 20's F and folks were shivering cold in the crisp air. At precisely 4pm, the city transforms into a magical wonderland of twinkling lights. If you've never gone before, it's worth the money. Really. I'm serious.
